No Harm Re-Harm (Instagram mini-lesson series)

This mini-lesson covers a fun and easy approach to re-harmonization. By isolating the guide tones of a chord (the 3rd and 7th degrees) we can find a multitude of other new harmonies that contain the original guide tones as chord tones, extensions or alterations. These new harmonies can in turn be substituted for the original chord.
