5 "Non-Functional Harmony" Substitutions (ii-V7-I)

This book presents a concept/principle I use for constructing possible chordal substitutions by extracting the 3rd and 7th (guide tones) of each chord and building a new harmony which contains such two notes as chord tones, extensions, alterations, or any combination of them.

The new chords can be used in conjunction with the original harmony or simply used as improvisational and compositional tools to create interesting harmonic passages.
